The BART bus system provides service around the Chequamegon Bay and in rural towns, cities and villages. This brochure describes our route service operated cooperatively with the Lauri Jean Zach Center.
GLIDDEN TO PARK FALLS AND GLIDDEN TO MELLEN is a route service that starts in Glidden and makes three trips to and from Butternut and Park Falls. The Glidden Service also provides a north bound bus to Mellen which makes three round trips daily.  The Glidden to Mellen Route provides riders the opportunity to link with the BART Bus which runs between Mellen and Ashland on Mondays and Thursdays (see BART Route 6 - Mellen Schedule, for route information). See schedule below for details.
GLIDDEN SERVICE is a door-to door service that operates during the periods of time the bus is in Glidden. This demand service requires a call to the Lauri Jean Zach Center dispatcher for all locations.

Door to door service is provided in the Village of Glidden during the times listed below.
The Glidden bus service operates weekdays Monday-Friday.

  • 11:00 - 11:30 AM *
  • 12:45 - 1:10 PM *
  • 1:50 - 2:10 PM
*Seniors seeking a ride to lunch at the Glidden Senior Center should schedule
their pickup during the 11 a.m. run & their return trip during the 12:45 p.m. run.
